Memory Rose Garden

Finding Inspiration In Every Turn

The rose garden at the Longview Public Library was established in 1965 and reimagined in 1985  as a Memory Rose Garden. With the support of the Friends of the Library, a group of dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers help care for the garden, raise funds and revitalize it to be enjoyed by visitors and patrons of the library.

Rose Donation Wish List

The Friends of the Rose Garden are pleased to accept donations for pre-orders of new roses to be planted in the Rose Garden next spring.

To reserve your memorial rose(s), please email Austin.

Payment for memorial roses as well as general donations to support the improvement and upkeep of the garden can be made by cash, check, or online payment. Checks should be made out to the Friends of the Longview Library; please put "Rose Garden" in the memo line. Online payment can be made through GiveButter. A donation box* is located in the lower level of the Library.

Roses are $60 each, and donors can choose from the roses listed below. The number after each rose name is the quantity needed. Ten roses make a full bed, but donation of the full bed of ten is not required. If a selected rose becomes entirely unavailable, the Friends will work with the donor to find a substitute.  Memorial recognition is for the lifetime of the rose.
